Hi, I’m Dr. Lisha Jindal
I’m a psychologist and the founder of Reach for Peace. If you’ve found your way here, you might be carrying something heavy right now. You don’t need the right words for it yet. We can start wherever you are.

Why I do this work
I was a very anxious girl from the very beginning, and very attached to everything. The kind who could replay one conversation a hundred times, and keep worrying about things that haven’t happened yet.
For the longest time, I wondered why I couldn’t just switch it off. Why I felt things so deeply. And why some things stayed with me long after they had happened.
The more I understood myself, the more I realised how much there was beneath the overthinking: fear, expectations, attachment, the need to feel safe, and sometimes simply the need to be understood. And I think that’s what made me want to become a psychologist. Over time, psychology became more than a subject for me. It gave me a language for things I had felt but couldn’t explain.
I think that’s why this work feels so personal to me. I know what it’s like to want someone to understand what’s going on inside your head, without making you feel like you’re too much or overthinking everything. If I can be that person for someone else, even for a little while, that means a lot to me.
“Therapy should feel like a space to be heard, not judged.”
That’s what I try to give every person I work with. Not quick fixes, but a bit more clarity, some tools that actually help on hard days, and changes that last.
A little about my background
I have an M.A. and a Psy.D (HC) in clinical psychology, with specialised training in relationship and family therapy, and in life coaching. As a psychologist, I offer therapy and counselling. I don’t prescribe medication, and if it’s ever needed, we can work alongside a psychiatrist.
What it’s like to talk with me
You don’t need to prepare anything for our first session. Find a quiet spot where you feel comfortable, join by video or audio, and start wherever feels easiest, in English or Hindi. It’s okay if it comes out messy. We’ll make sense of it together.
Mostly, I listen. As we go, I’ll help you notice the patterns that keep coming up, and we’ll work on small, practical things you can try in your everyday life. Each session is 50 minutes, and it’s shaped around you and what you bring that day.
You set the pace. You decide what to talk about and what to leave for later, and nothing is rushed. There’s no judgement here, just room to be honest.
After our first session, I hope you leave feeling a little lighter, and a little less alone with whatever you’re carrying. Nothing has to be solved yet.
Outside the therapy room
When I’m not in sessions, you’ll often find me exploring somewhere new. I love discovering new places and meeting new people. My me-time usually means finding a cafe I haven’t tried yet, sitting down with my art, or trying a new place to eat.
- New places
- Meeting new people
- Cafe hopping
- Art
- Trying new food
I think that curiosity comes into my sessions too. I’m genuinely interested in people and their stories, and I never assume I already know yours.
Reach for Peace, wherever you are
At Reach for Peace, sessions happen by secure video or audio, by appointment, Monday to Sunday, in English or Hindi. You can join from home, or anywhere you have a little privacy.
What you share stays between us. Everything is kept private and confidential, following professional ethical guidelines. It’s only shared with your consent, or in the rare cases the law requires, like a risk of harm.
Because we work by appointment, this isn’t an emergency service. It’s a steady, private place to come back to, week after week, for as long as it helps.
